We had a wooden floor professionally refinished a few months ago. There were a couple of dark spots that sanding could not get out so we had a dark stain applied to hide the spots. This seemed to work until recently when the dark spots appeared to be darker and there was an oilly substance on top of the spots that seemed to bleed through the floor finish. Any idea what would cause this and is there a way to fix it? If it makes a difference, it has been hot and humid lately. The rest of the floor looks great. --173.88.xxx.xxx |

It was already dark. My floor guy suggest going lighter not darker. I suppose for this reason. Just love it as it is, the stain color choosen is making it darker. Hardwood floors have flaws it's ok. Just keep walking. --172.56.xx.xx |

datk stains show areas that had water on them for a long time......so is there something causing prolonged dampness? --24.101.xxx.xxx |
