I put a full price offer on a duplex that was listed same day. Realtor scheduled an open house later that same day. I went by the open house thinking there would be a couple of people filtering through…boy was I wrong! 25 people lined up with many more looking for a spot to park. The police officer that was on-site announced the tenant would be allowing 1 prospective buyer at a time. No thanks, I’m out of here! It would have taken a few hours. Oh well.

Don't feel bad, with that many interested people, you'd be paying a premium above listing. Normally, I'd say go for the fixer-uppers, but with the scarcity and premiums for materials nowadays, I'm wondering if it's worth waiting awhile. --108.69.xxx.xxx |

The Tenant had a police officer there saying only one at a time.
Well, it's easy to see who was in charge & why the owner is selling.
Yeah, it's pretty impossible to buy anything listed these days. Although, the house I rehabbed beginning last fall was a Realtor listing - but it had issues and already had a failed purchase contract last summer. I was willing to take the risk & fix the issues. --75.150.xx.xx |
