I'm looking for paint colors. I'm selling one of my rentals. It has textured walls, right now its all bone white.

I want to do a modern color & cut the trim to appeal to buyers.

My second husband and I turned down a house with textured walls because every little lump and bump had dirt hanging off of it. If you want it to look good, please get the dirt off and you might do an off white which will look nice and clean for awhile. --108.24.xx.xx

I am cheap and I sometimes go to the local hardware store and bargain over gallons that people ordered, then rejected. Two years ago they had 10 gallons of a very vibrant blue purple Valspar exterior semi gloss. It was obviously going to be a tough sale for the store. The owner and I bargained for about 20 minutes and I got all 10 for $120. I then blended 2 gallons of color paint with 3 gallons of white and got a beautiful softer blue/purple that appealed to me. I first painted a 450 sq ft living room in my best apartment with lovely walnut stained woodwork which we refurbished. Then I added crown molding and the room was able to carry it off.

I figured the people who liked it would be compatible with me and it was popular at showings. The current tenant loves the room and says he wants to stay. I have used it in three other units since and have been lucky there as well.

I do rehabs and sell them,my wife does the design and the colors have been mostly light grey with semi gloss white for trim --72.231.xxx.xxx
