Is a voucher of $3000 for a family of 3 (a dad with 2 adult kids one is in college and the other one is working) sounds reasonable? Where can I find more info? Claire for a family of 3 this seems very high, but it depends on what they qualify for. I did a quick search and for Boston it looks a 4 bedroom house could get $3168. I use huduser dot com and then find the fair market rent tool. I find that it is pretty accurate. When I list a rental I list it at what I feel the market will bear. If it ends up being rented to a section 8 tenant at renewal I check this site to give an idea what housing thinks is fair market rent. Usually I'm below that number. I am sure that there are some calculations that can bring the number down, but as long as I have been below the number on that site based on number of bedrooms I have never been denied by housing for a rent amount. --75.50.xxx.xx
