How often do you find a footer drain along a garage? NE ohio built in 1954. Garage is in the ground, literally. Drive has retaining walls and 1 side and back of garage are 6 feet in the ground, other side is interior of the house, the basement. We have excavated down and did not find one yet.

If the garage is below grade on all sides and there is not a sump pump then it is unlikely to have a footer drain line, it would have nowhere to drain. --64.130.xx.xx |

Hopefully the garage is all parged and tar over cement blocks. --76.188.xxx.xxx |

Mike A, all basement here are below grade and all have footer drains. Storm sewers are designed to be deep enough to accommodate gravity drained footer drains. --76.189.xxx.xxx |
