Hello!
I've recently moved into a new place and live next to my landlady, who is a lovely, decent woman. I'm looking for an automated way to pay my rent everything month so I don't even have to think about it. It's up to me because she's not very tech savvy.
My previous landlord was a corporate giant that did ACH, but all I did was hand over a voided check, sign a form, and they did the rest. In my current situation, I wouldn't even know how to set that up, let alone my landlady. Is there some kind of convenient option/service that would allow me to automate my rent payments safely? Ideally, I'd like something that doesn't charge my landlady anything, or a lot, or delay her money by too long.

If your landlady will provide you with the bank routing number and account number, you can schedule electronic payments. I have a “deposit only account” that I then sweep into my business checking. If she is not comfortable with that simply schedule a monthly Bill pay out of your checking to be mailed to her and set it up on your end with enough time for it to arrive before the first. --75.67.xxx.xxx |

On some banks online account page, i cash have the bank send checks to whoever I need to pay. I can set the payment to be reoccurring. My bank account has a record that the check was sent if I ever needed to proof that. --174.198.xxx.xxx |

My tenant contacted Chase bank and set it up that they would mail the check to me the 25th of every month for the rent due on the first. If the 25th is a Saturday or Sunday the check did not go out until the following Monday. --99.23.xxx.x |
