I saw two ads recently that "clicked" and made me shake my head.

One was a dog poop pick up company with a catchy name. Those type services have visibly been around for a dozen or so years I believe.

Now I saw a company advertise that they will clean and sanitize your trash can !!! I use the hose every so often. I guess someone was doing that on a Saturday and grumbled "why isn't there someone to wash this stinkin' can out for me?" and voila !!!! He ran with it and he's now in Tahiti waiting for Sid!!

I have a friend in SoCal who started out as a dog walker and pooper scooper many years ago. Other than myself she's the only truly competent person I know. (Present LL company excepted of course.) :D You can tell her what you need done and she will make it happen, doesn't matter what it is. She took care of my beach house for years.

Her location led her to become a personal assistant to super rich people about 25 years ago. She's like a concierge for the "stars." She can do anything, if you need your kid met at school or driven to your private jet, or you need someone to watch over your MacMansion renovation or take your dog to the vet (or clean up the poop) she has "people" for that. Need impossible to get reservations at a trendy restaurant? She'll get you the best seat in the house. Need a shovel and a desert? She knows who to call. (Wink-wink)

I use a guy with a beat up pickup to clean out garages, rip up carpet, haul trash, yard work, etc. He gets $100 per day.

He also picks up scrap metal, appliances, old mowers...which brings in another $1200 per month.

Not rich, but happy, pays his rent, goes fishing...runs his own biz, no boss, takes time off whenever he wants.
