Today's headline: Michigan man builds 'poop wall’ after dispute with neighbor
(video www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1Fdq5DJBN8&t=4s )
A man has reportedly retaliated against a neighbor with cow dung in a small Michigan town.
Wayne Lambarth, the neighbor who claims a 250-foot wall of manure was erected following a property line dispute he had with a fellow farm owner last year, according to FOX 2 Detroit.
Aside from serving as a physical divider, Lambarth and his tenants told FOX 2 the manure wall comes with a powerful stench.
The farmer who built the wall, whose identity has remained anonymous, denied the organic structure is a "poop wall."
"It's a compost fence," he reportedly told FOX 2.
FOX 2 reports that officials from the area have said nothing can be done since the wall sits on private property.
It is not clear if the manure wall can be related to any local or state land ordinances.
Lambarth’s family has lived in the area for more than a century and was first developed by his grandfather.

Well, building materials are quite expensive nowadays. Sometimes you just gotta use what you have. --68.191.xx.xx |

With the price of labor and materials so high i think this is a great alternative. It should catch on. --172.58.xx.xxx |

That man must have a lot of cows!
Can you imagine the flies?
A good way to keep the neighbors at a distance. I like it.
I wonder if I can do that in the city? --73.120.xx.xxx |

It's a health hazard so the part about nothing can be done is ridiculous. Flies, bacteria, smell is actually molecules of whatever smells so people are breathing that in. --108.24.xx.xx |

it's two farms, not two suburban yards.
Many "city" folks moved into rural developments in my area the past two or so decades. They then decided things like manure and farming activities should somehow be curtailed or regulated as nuisances. We now have agricultural security areas so folks moving into one of these areas know what is and isn't permitted.
when they fertilize fields near here, there is no question for miles around what they are using !! --72.70.xxx.xx |

250 ft wall? Dang, that's a lot of dung.
I've heard the old saying "Good fences make good neighbors." Not sure this qualifies. You've really got to have a bur in your britches to do something like this. I would've just bought a few six packs and called it a day.

There was a similar feuding neighbor incident in Ohio. In retaliation, Neighbor #1 had a huge pile of manure delivered to her back yard. Neighbor #2 called the city and reported her. Not only did Neighbor #1 have to pay to have it hauled away, she was fined by the city. Neighbor #2 is still laughing about the karma 5 years later. --47.149.xxx.xxx |

Around me they spread manure on fields year round almost. Can't imagine it smells much different than any other day if you live that close. --172.58.xx.xxx |
