Female applicant: living in hotel, left the family home, husband won't let her take pets with her or see the children. Her parents will not help her. She tried Womanspace but it didn't work out. Husband will not let her "be herself". Smokes. That's what gave me a graceful exit. Building is non smoking. Opera singer upstairs so no smoke of any kind ever. She had a Pintrest page with her photo and hubby and one child. He looks like a monster. But I can't take this on. Says she works for Uber and has a trust. Too much drama. Smoker. No proof of income. Pet that will probably be smuggled in later. Abusive husband who will probably move in. Kids who will be moving in (although you can't reject for kids). Lying on the application.
Myself, I don't accept motels as a landlord reference.
