Let me start off by saying I am in the medical field not the roofing business. I know nothing about putting on a roof.

Roof install was completed yesterday. Contract called for 7/16 OSB to entire job. When supplies were delivered a what I would call a bundle of sheets were delivered by a crane. One bundle. This is a metal roof to be installed over the existing roof. The house measures approximately 16ft wide by 55 ft long.

Like I said I'm not a roofer but I'm thinking I was charged for more bundles of sheets of wood than were put on the roof.

Also roofing company does not know that I have cameras on the property.

I guess I know what my plans are this weekend.

Looking for guidance.

If my math is right....

Depending upon pitch, overhang, and roof design, a 16x55 house is going to be 12 squares of roofing +/-. That's going to equate to 38 sheets of OSB +/-. That's less than a full bundle as they are shipped to the lumber yard. A stack of 38 sheets of 7/16" material would be less than 18" high. --98.174.xxx.xxx

Thanx to a person who posts here I have put on many metal roofs, Thanx Royal from AL - directly over the existing shingles that dampens the sound of rain on the metal, so unless you had areas that have fallen thru the sheeting was not needed at all. --76.188.xxx.xxx

do your cameras show extra material being hauled away, and have you been billed for this yet? I had a roof job where they expected to deck the roof and had a load of sheets delivered. I returned and saw that the roofing crew was finished and knew that they didn't deck it. The roofer tried to bill me for it, but I called BS on that. --24.194.xxx.xxx

OSB?

We use 1 x 4 hemlock timber over top the existing shingles. These boards are spaced out every two feet.

Are you sure your estimate says OSB? I would be asking how they are using OSB and asking to see where it was installed on this job. I suppose there is a chance you had some rotted sheeting, but steel goes over the top --24.154.xx.x
