By statute, Texas does not allow garnishment. It is set up to quickly return the property to you if they stop paying and hopefully soon enough that the security deposit will cover it. If you don't act quickly then the loss is on you. You should file the judgment with the credit bureaus and you might find a collection agency that would pursue it in Texas but don't get your hopes up that you will ever see that money unless they try and buy a house at some point. --64.130.xx.xx |
