Sorry if this got posted before,.but I never saw my submission,..perhaps it was because it was not labeled "OT"?

But its hard to wrap ones head around a trillion dollars,

It has been said if you lined up that many dollar bills,..it would stretch from the earth to the sun and two million miles after that (around 95 million miles,..) We don't have enough PAPER to do a trillion bills,..its all electronic ,..but I see we are about to spend 4 trillion just for the stimulus program and the road/bridge building and other things in that bill/

I am just shocked. They must think they will get so much more back. How much is going to foreign countries who will kick back about half of it to the sender. --108.24.xx.xx

In a straight stack, one trillion US $1 bills would be a stack 67,866 miles high (109220 km).

A trillion dollars in one dollar bills would weigh about 1.1 million tons, or 2.2 billion pounds. If you were using 100 dollar bills it would way about 11 thousands tons

One trillion dollars in new crisp one hundred dollar bills would occupy about 400,000 cubic feet and would fill over 168 forty foot shipping containers. If those forty foot shipping containers were to be placed end to end, the string of those forty foot shipping containers would extend over 1.27 miles

As they say a trillion here a trillion there & pretty soon we're talking about real money

The late Everett Dirksen, a long-serving Minority Leader of the Republicans in the U.S. Senate, is famously quoted as saying a billion here, a billion there, and soon we’re talking real money. That was back in 1969. At the time, a billion dollars was about one-tenth of 1 percent of GDP.

What about today?

During 2020, the federal government provided a total of $3.2 trillion of Covid relief, starting with a mere $8.3 billion, then adding $104 billion, then adding $2.2 trillion, and finishing off the year with another $900 billion.

We’re now three months into 2021, and the federal government has provided yet another $1.9 trillion in Covid relief; and, the Biden administration has just asked for $2 trillion for infrastructure.

To put these amounts into perspective: A trillion dollars is today about 4 percent of GDP. --71.184.xxx.xx

As small time operators we are driven to some day become millionaires.......most of us will not become billionaires. That first million is harder than that the second, third or other arbitrary level. It could be eight figures or even nine.

It is important for us to know our customers though and understand them. They might be striving to stay a thousandaire. I understand that term doesn't really exist.

Check their wallet and they might have less than $100 in it. How does that compare to your wallet/purse.

Its alright to make a fair and honest living, but we must always remember our roots. --24.154.xx.x

More,..

If you had an ATM that spit out a dollar a second you'd have $86,400 after a day. A million bucks after 11.5 days and you'd get to a trillion after 31,700 years. --66.30.xx.xxx
