I have an apartment building on a slight incline one of my tenants has just had a hip replacement and is asking me to put in a railing to assist her down the path. This has never been a problem before (It’s a 4- plex). Am I required to go through the expense of the installation or do I tell her to deal with it fir the next four weeks? --98.224.x.xx |

No! You don't have to pay for it. But you need to allow your tenant reasonable accommodations. There are charity, groups and places that offer old poor people a service to install Shower/Tub Safety Bars and things for steps.

I have seen a lot of bad work done by organizations over the years as they have done a lot on my mothers house. The tend to use kids or teenagers with no skills. --73.120.xx.xxx |
