Coming off another sleepless night...the shot in the arm went great, didn't even feel it and not "shot sight" sore for 3 days like the 1st shot. But later that day and all night long YIKES. Have you all seen the movie "Alien?" Along with chills that lasted hours, I felt like the Aliens were in my entire body trying to get out anywhere they could, and without warning. First a random area of a leg, sharply punching from the inside. 7 minutes later, an ear, and on and on with no warning where or when next. That was 3 days ago, still having that issue randomly with lots of time in between. The most bizarre side effects I've ever had! Did I mention I have a weak immune system, since I was a preteen?

I am going to assume you had the Moderna shot. That 2nd shot causes a bad reaction in a lot of people, from what I've heard. Also causes a "Moderna Rash" in some.

Be patient: now that we have a vaccine we should be ready to start returning to normal. But yes, you can certainly go to a restaurant and have a sit down meal with up to 50 strangers you've never met before who only wear masks when standing up, because sitting down deactivates Covid 19.

January 2021 - February - We're starting to vaccinate, but 2 masks are better than 1. Wait, make that 3 masks.

Today - We've got the vaccine! We've been to vaccinating people since December. Keep wearing three masks. Keep not getting together. It's just for 2 weeks....I mean...until we get the vaccine....I mean, until everyone has been vaccinated for at least 2 weeks.

Future - Did you hear about the newest strains from the UK and South America? Yeah, you must now wear 4 masks and wait until you get the new and improved vaccine which ought to be ready....oh....I guess whenever we feel like it. THEN life will return to normal.

During the whole time: "essential" big box businesses raking in record profits. Mom and Pop stores closing forever. Small LLs going bankrupt. Depression and suicide rates skyrocketing. 3 million school-aged kids have stopped attending any type of schooling (see link below).

The last time that my phone updated, it automatically installed the CONTACTS APP.

I read the update information before allowing it to update and there was no mention of this APP being installed or I would not have allowed it, not that that necessarily would have mattered. The update also can not be uninstalled.

I got a sinus infection this past week. I usually get one in late winter every year or so... yesterday .... hot flash... then every joint ached.... then another hot flash... then total lack of energy...then more body aches.... today...mostly better....almost able to keep up with the grandkids.... ( can hardly wait for them to finally be back in school...but then it will be just me and a toddler-monster... uh-oh!)

Yes it was the Moderna shot. Chose that one as it had less chance of allergy for me. My 90 year old mother had no problems whatsoever. Hubby is next up and choosing the J&J shot.

I have been vaccinated for all sorts of diseases all my life. Having had Chicken pox when I was a child, I am glad there is a vaccine for that now. I don't understand why a parent would not allow their child to be vaccinated.

Modern medicine is amazing, yes, there are side affects to all medicine and one has to decide if they risk is worth the reward. Personally, I thought the vaccine was what was needed to get us out of the pandemic, and said that over a year ago.

I thought the Johnson and Johnson, one shot, old tech in how it is delivered would be for me. But the Moderna came up and I took that.

I am hoping that masking stays acceptable especially in the winter flu and cold season. Since I retired I have had few winter colds, I am less exposed, and yes, maybe my immune system is not as strong, but I am older and isn't as strong anyway. I will probably chose to wear a mask again during flu season in the store.

Sometimes I think the FDA is just an roadblock to getting some decent meds out there. If you a debilitating disease, it should be your choice to try meds or not, as long as you are informed.

I am very much into keeping the government out of our business, so they don't give me permission to visit people. But I will consider their guidelines. I also believe that business should be able to make their rules on who they serve. If they want everyone to wear masks, shoes, pants, shirts, it is their right to do so. If they want to allow smoking, it is their right to do so. If they want to require a vaccination, it is their right to do so.
