Ok, so I realize this is a small thing...but...
In the past, I've always used either felt pads or those rigid plastic buttons anywhere something "banged" upon shutting, such as a kitchen cabinet door when shutting it.
But recently I found these things called hushbumps, which are actually small gel packs. I bought some and used them at my house and they work pretty well. They are "squishy" and cut down the slamming noise by about 70% versus the other types I've tried.
See my photos page for a picture...they sell them in many sizes and shapes and quantities.

How strong is the adhesive?
Will they stay put in a rental? --68.229.xxx.xxx |

Yes strong enough. The key as always is surface prep. Use degreaser, or acetone or mineral spirits to clean prior to applying depending on substrate. --99.92.xxx.xxx |

Those things come on better cabinets, visit a cabinet builder and get 4-500 to use wisely. --76.188.xxx.xxx |
