I'm curious as to how you approach wearing masks. I for one simply do as I'm told. In other words I'm way too busy to be worried about people's opinions and predictions.
I wear a mask so much that I forget I have it on.
(I'm that person you see driving alone but wearing a mask....yup...that was me).
I assume that all my teni want me to wear a mask so I have never slipped up and not had a mask in or on the property of a rental.
Landlords are not allowed to ever make mistakes.
This morning , 8 am, I walked into a grocery store without a mask. I noticed while down the first isle. I covered my face from the nose down with my nice sweat jacket.
Later I got some grief from some guy as I was checking out. I said nothing....I kept my face covered and it was obvious I was holding my sweat jacket. I wasn't a landlord then...I should of had the right to make my first mask mistake
I'm curious. Are your tenants very upset by all of this going around? I kind of avoid my teni so I don't really have a pulse on the situation.
I travel to parts of the country where I'm the only one wearing a mask.
The people in the store today, well...again I said nothing - this was the first time I slipped....but if they didn't eat all that processed food and smoke packs or reds, maybe their immune system would be up to the task to fight off anything.
I have had many people asking if I rented rooms with private baths. I wonder what tenants are thinking these days and how I can cater to their needs.
Thanks.
Oh...and yes, I washed my hands before typing this so you don't need to worry.
The real crime is covering up this stunning good looking face!

Here the amount of infections and death rates with Covid 19 is one tenth of what is in other countries. Now we starting to receive Vaccines from Belgium where later on life can start to return back to normal. The nationalism that happened in the world where that is going to prolong the problem with Covid 19 as a joint cooperation would have helped a lot. Everyday trucks cross the border where some people who cross are amazed what they see that some people are not wearing masks where now they are talking about testing truckers, air line personal. Where now everyone else has to have a Covid 19 entering the country. The land border is open to essential travel which is goods, services and medical personal where some in the proposing land border opens in July where every month the opening is extended. The vaccination rate is lower here as supply is coming from Europe where now there are shipments. --99.236.xxx.xxx |

Most of my tenants don't care, they don't wear masks when I enter nor do I. I carry one and if they have one on then I will do the same, technically the state mandate to wear one would only apply if there were more than 10 gathered.
Like you, I will wear it into stores if I remember per the state mandate. My community it's about 90% that wear them and 10% that don't, nobody cares.
I just traveled from TX through NM to AZ. It's interesting to see the differences as I travel. NM for example is not allowing indoor dining in most communities. AZ rural areas don't wear masks but in metro areas they not only wear but clean the self checkout lines between customers. Widely different social expectations abound. --68.10.xx.xxx |

Canada is nowhere near only 1/10th that of other counties such as the USA. Checking your numbers just now, you are indeed less -- about 1/4th of that of the USA. You are more spread out -- and your people were better about wearing masks -- so you did much better than we did.
Now if you could just get some vaccines going, you'd be all set! :)

Thanks everyone. I've been up to New Hampshire once, Boston another time....kind of kept to my self. Of coarse, when visiting with friends we didn't wear masks. I suppose friends are immune.
However I've only been as far south as North Carolina lately and it looks like just some areas are very uptight.
I appreciate your input. I'll go on covering my mug as I have been doing. Tonight I had a tenant ask me to email something...easier for me to drop off the paper then to scan it in....besides, I know the tenant has to print out what I scan.
I'll roll up the paper and tie it with a mask.

Dee ann, I would imagine that you aren't the only landlord who has lost tenants over the Convid division. My sister in law lives in NYC and is a covid extremist. Her roommate was a covid rationalist. They fought big time because my sister in law was sanitizing her groceries and wearing a muzzle in the apartment. Her roommate would not join in the hysteria and they got into huge fights over it and spilt ways. The one moved all the way to Chicago.
My hope is that the terrified can come to terms with their fear and get back to living again. --174.249.xx.xx |

We are starting to receive Vaccines from Belgium where past polices the federal government under the Liberals did encourage manufacturing here where now there is price to pay with a lock down along will have to wear masks longer. Now people over 80 are getting Vaccinated. It is going to take until the fall where most people are Vaccinated where every the month the age will drop. Other countries decided not to wait where using the Sputnik V Vaccine or from China. India has the largest Vaccine production in the world where slightly larger then the EU and Us combined. The pandemic showed a lot of weak areas where now going to start thinking about more domestic manufacturing. So far it is compulsory to wear a mask when going into a store or any indoor building which has minimized the spread. There were times when the medical system was going to be overwhelmed where there are only so many ventilators and beds in a given hospital. --99.236.xxx.xxx |

I made a post yesterday and it never appeared.
A good portion of folks here don't wear them. I wear one when 'necessary' or it suits my purposes. The local legion was warned by the LCB that if individuals were walking to tables from the door or the restroom without masks, they will be cited next time they are caught. Everyone complies and it's funny when you see someone stand up take two steps, remember, and basically lunge back to their seat to grab a mask.
I don't wear them in properties that I own - my tenants don't wear them when I come in the door. I haven't had any service people wear them.

Nicole, the threat of revocation of licenses is the only reason you see enforcement in bars and restaurants. Government bullying. Also public schools with the threat of withholding state funding if there's no compliance. One very good reason to run a school with a good budget and no debt. The borrower (school dependent on state funding) is slave to the lender (mask tyrant governments). Charter schools, private schools, etc are exempt.
Some states are open and a free society still exists out there in the ones that aren't. You just have to look harder to find it now.
There are restaurants that take temps and contact trace before they let you in. There are other restaurants that refused to close. One here said publicly that they will not close and will defend themselves if they are forced to close.
One establishment gets my business, one doesn't.

I wear a mask when I am going to be around anyone but not in my house or car.
If I am going to a tenant's apartment, I let them know ahead of time to wear a mask. If they object, I do not go. I am the only one who worries about my health, so they agree or I don't show.
It only takes one time being with someone without a mask or someone with Covid to get it. I am not taking the chance with my age and health. Just not gonna do it.
If someone comes to give me an estimate on a property, they usually see me wearing a mask and ask if I would like them to wear one. I say yes. I also try to let them know in advance to please wear one, if I remember. --50.105.xxx.xx |

I wear a mask in the store and sometimes when I am with tenants...depends on them.
I recently had a woman make a under breath comment that i was going the "wrong way" down the isle in a store. Evidently, the arrow on the floor was pointing one way and I was going the other. I should have swung my carriage 180 degrees to turn the right way, then I would have been covid free! Go the wrong way and you are not covid free.
The most hysterical incident I had a few months ago..I was leaving a store and I heard someone screech "6 feet!" "6 feet!" I look to see who was making all the noise and the screecher was looking at me! I was taken aback as I had no idea what her problem was. She was screeching for me to keep 6 feet from her! I was almost out the door when this happened.
I looked at her and said "how about 5 feet 11 inches?" She then scrreched BIT_H to me! Funniest thing I ever saw! --68.191.xx.xxx |
