You don't need a specific form, you just need to state the facts. But make sure that you understand New Jersey laws regarding your particular situation. How many properties you own, whether your tenant is elderly, a veteran, whether you are on a month to month lease, all matter. It seems to me that in most cases in NJ, you can't give 60 days notice because you are selling. You can give 60 days notice if the new buyer wants to live in the property. You can read the "Truth in Renting" booklet by the NJ Dept of Community Affairs (available online) for more detail. --23.30.xx.xxx |

No such thing in NJ. The only thing that a person can ask a tenant to leave for is nonpayment of rent. I suggest you write a letter saying that you will be selling the home and are giving them a warning of 60 days so they can move if they don't want to be discomforted by the process.
I would offer them some moving money. But if you are selling it as a rental, having a tenant is a positive thing. If not then, you will want to offer them moving expenses. What does it say on your lease about notices.
They do not have to move and there are no evictions now due to covid period. --108.24.xx.xx |
