To Zillow, or not to Zillow..?
Has the accuracy of Zillow grown over the years? I recall when Zillow started their figures were vastly off.
I've not been paying attention to Zillow for pricing however I have noticed how they offer more services and with that are gaining more popularity.
It would seem that they could grow into a resource.
Are they close? Is their rental calculator accurate for your areas?

Zillow sales data in my area differs from our regional multi list values which are highly reliable. Local, county or state section 8 housing authorities have a rental data base from a semi-scientific poll of apartment complexes in the areas they serve. Didn't Zillow recently buy a company that buys homes.
If it is your job to make and present home values and a company that you own would later go around and purchase the homes, wouldn't that appear to be some inside dealings?
The market here is as hot as I have seen in over a decade so I am not seeing the inside dealing, but I would expect that the prices on zillow will come down even more than the rest of the market in specific areas where they are buying --24.154.xx.x |

I sold a gorgeous flip last year for $165,000. Zillow keeps sending me updates saying it’s now worth $67,000 in our booming market.
