Arrrghh the auto thing I guess didn't like the fact I put a link to a review of the product,..
Maybe later,..
But here is the first part,..
.I recently purchased a Craftsman lopper,..a battery operated thing with jaws,..it can clamp down on a 4 inch branch,..SO FAR I really like it for what nitch its designed for,..,..cleaned up a mess of fallen branches from a recent wind storm,..

So it's a chainsaw built into a lopper. Looks like a big scissors with a chain saw in it. Safer than a regular one and perhaps because most of the chain is in the grabber. Think of an alligator's mouth with handles. How much does it weigh? I found it on Ebay for $160. --71.104.xx.xxx |

AllyM I paid 120.00 on Amazon prime,..not sure of the weight but it didn't seem to be a problem to use.
If you go to youtube there are several videos on it, perhaps they mention it,.. --96.236.xxx.xxx |

Instead of that model I went with a Worx Jawsaw Chain Saw. One model with a/c cord and one cordless 20volt. While it's made mostly of plastic, it works very well. It's a chain saw with a claw that you put around the branch and push a handle forward while the chain cuts the wood. It has a self oiler and you can purchased a 6 foot extension wand.
This is truly safe chain saw.
I had a friend that was too lazy to use his Repo saw to cut down a tree. A few years later it grew sky high. So his wife purchased a chain saw on a poll. I explained that she could kill herself with it after it cuts thru a branch, gravity would make it come down and arc towards her body. So I asked the gardener for an estimate to cut down the tree....
These friends would not purchase a safe Worx chain saw, hire the gardener next door. Instead they would rather put themselves at risk. So I gave them one of my WOrx Jawsaw's. And they loved it.... they purchased a new one and gave me back mine... --47.155.xx.xxx |
