To install allure floor, Do you use 1/4 corner to cover the imperfection or reinstall baseboard?

If baseboard will come up easily, you can pull it up carefully and reinstall. But that usually doesn't work, and old baseboard is nasty anyway. Leave it down and add 1/4 round to cover edges. --50.82.xxx.xxx

It can be done both ways, it depends on personal taste and whether you want to remove the baseboards or not. I remove the baseboards. --74.74.xxx.xx

We use either 3/4" quarter round or 3/4" scotia installed with a brad nailer. I suggest that you prepaint it before installing. It's also a good idea to use 1 or 2 playing cards as a spacer to keep it slightly above the floor. This helps prevent the floor from binding when it expands & contracts. --71.174.xxx.xx

In “C” rentals even “B” you can try filling the gap with a matching caulk instead of using 1/4 round. Looks fine and flexes enough the keep the flooring from buckling. --98.13.xx.xxx

And yes, like Steve said, do not nail it tight to the floor.

Allure is a FLOATING FLOOR and must have space to expand and contract.

Who in their right mond wouldn'tput down NEW 1/4 round? You can buy it already painted in 12 or 20 ft lengths. Where you use the nail gun come back and swipe with gloss caulk. my gosh how much will you spend using the old junk and the look of it???? --99.103.xxx.xxx
