While painting my empty condo, I noticed a very small drip/leak from the bathtub faucet.

The drip is barely noticeable, very faint drip, like 1 drop every 10 seconds but I would like to fix it. Property is about 10 year old. The faucet knob is a single knob over the faucet.

Is this an easy fix? Can you please give me some help/advice about fixing this drip?

It could be an easy a swapping a cartridge. It might require a little more disassembly and replacement of some o-rings or springs. You won't really know until you get into it and it might be harder than you think. Hard water deposits can make some of these really components hard to pull apart without damaging things. I had to rig up a puller with some washers and a die set one time to get one pulled apart. See if you can find any manufacturer and model markings on the faucet and check Youtube for various videos. Chances are at least someone has run into the same problem you have with a similar faucet. --74.83.xx.xxx

Bathtub/shower faucets in a condo need to have interictal stops. Meaning that when you remove the chrome plate over the tile to expose the shower/tub valve, you will see two screw head valves to turn off the water to the hot and cold side. Otherwise you'd have to turn off the water to you entire complex to work on the tub/shower valve. --47.155.xx.xxx

First the cartridge needs to be taken out where visit plumbing supply outlet to get replacement. Sometimes if a ceramic disk type cartridge the cartridge can be cleaned out then reinstalled without replacing cartridge. See if can find brand of faucet where once name brand is known then can find replacement cartridge. The local home depot here usually has replacement cartridges. You tube has videos on how to swap out cartridges where view some videos. Put a towel along with make the drain plug is closed as any small part does not go down the drain where a towel can see any small parts. --99.236.xxx.xxx

Based on your question, you seem to be a novice...so I would not advise doing it yourself. There are all sorts of things that can go wrong and little tips/tricks that the pros know. Forget to turn off the main water supply? Wrap the teflon tape the wrong direction? Scratch something when you use a pick to remove an O-ring? Do you know what to use to lubricate any new O-rings? --99.92.xxx.xxx

Could be a simple washer, ring or cartridge depending on the brand. Then again it could also be needing a swap out.

After 10 years it could go either way.

When I place a property into phase maintenance, i tend to swap out with new - but if you are planning on selling a repair would work --24.101.xxx.xx
