Has anyone else had positive results from Apartments.com or Realtor.com? I see most of my competition has fled Zillow also and they are advertising on those sites. I don’t like to publish the house number ( and I have to for those sites). I don’t want to if it’s not worth it.

Put an inaccurate number on the website,if your house is number 42 put 142 then you can tell whoever you want to that a mistake was made and the address is really 42 --72.231.xxx.xxx |

I tried using Apartments.com last year for a two rentals. However, I seemed to get a lot of people responding to me in Spanish, so that didn't work well. I didn't rent either house through the site.
I did rent one property by having a sign in the front yard. I've noticed that people will look for a rental by driving through neighborhoods they find desirable or in neighborhoods where their friends are living. --99.165.xx.xxx |

I find that at various times one site is hot and the others are not, and next time I run a unit it changes to a different site. I have never got anything from those sites but tire kickers. --216.23.xxx.xx |

I’ve used apartments.com but don’t get many leads through there. I’ve never rented to a prospect that came from that site. Local Facebook pages are my best method now. --73.186.xxx.xxx |

I get a few leads thru them, but they seem about as flaky as the ones from Zumper / Zillow. It's still a numbers game though, so more leads = better chance of finding someone good.

My syndicated rentals publish to aps.com but i don't notice that it generates traffic. My last 2 I used zumper and I was able to list w/out the address and just find it on a map and put the nearest cross street. Have you used zumper? --24.194.xxx.xxx |

Some one told me that the CoStar Group bought these folks. Is that true? CoStar are the folks that also bought out Loopnet. CoStar sells research, so I am wondering what they are up to --24.101.xxx.xx |

I was unhappy about the $10 per week charge on Zillow. I paid it, but also started listing on Zumper. I've gotten better leads and rented to good tenants from the Zillow ads. Overall Zumper has been a waster of time. In the big picture, $10 per week is pretty reasonable, although free was nicer! Those are the only two I've tried. --96.58.xxx.xxx |

I found the sign up process was LIKE WHAT?? they call me and verified all this information and I was very uncomfortable With the process. But i went thru the process and listed a property, little or no activity. Now just today I get a postcard from them reminding me to list my properties. I'm not sure I will. Actually already put the card in the recycling bin. --172.58.xx.xxx |
