There was some discussion about PNC recently that I wanted to add to, but I could not search the thread today as the system does not allow threads in 2021 to be searched as of yet. Anyway, I just wanted to give my two cents contrary to popular opinions posted here. PNC has been the best bank I have known in the last 20 years. They have been very professional and well structured to handle all my business needs. They gave me 13 loans out of which I paid off 9. I have a type of account where the don't charge me for domestic wires, cashier's checks, safety deposit boxes or any ATM fees regardless of where I use my card. They even refund me for what I pay the other banks on ATM fees. They are big now for sure. They used to be Pittsburgh National Bank or PNB before becoming PNC. They are a Pittsburgh bank where I am located as well. I have been a banker most of my working life in corporate American and I know banks better than the average consumer. I think the important this who you know at the bank, not the bank's name. If you know senior VPs that can make decisions in your favor based upon relationships and not your FICO, then go to that bank and stop wasting your time with tellers.

I have nothing good to say about this bank. My experiences with them were they bought one of my loans.
it was a horrible experience.
I'm happy with other banks.
Post Script. I also do not like BB&T...who was so bad they needed to change their name. I documented the mistakes BB&T would make...from tiny to huge.
The people at the BB&T branches are wonderful
However, You can find good banks and great people anywhere...so I would avoid those two.
