if you expect responsive customer service simplisafe is not for you. their wait hold times are ridiculous for an alarm company. the ONLY time you call them is when time is of the essence and they keep east coast hours in a 24 hours a day business. they are a giant fail in that regard
good luck getting them on the line for ANYTHING once they have you as a client. as soon as ANY alternative exists i will drop them pronto and toss their hardware in the trash. i have two simpli safe rigs and use only one and ONLY because they are cellular and it lets me avoid a phone line charge for a home i have in the desert.
if you insist on using them be SURE you call and require them to send a test signal DAILY to your base station. their default was a weekly test which is just idiotic. an entire week could pass and they would have NO IDEA that your system was not functioning properly. A WEEK?!?!
if you do pony up tell them keep the camera and swap in a LOUD siren to alert the neighbors. the one they include with the typical system cannot be heard outside the structure...the goal of an alarm is to be alarming and --75.80.xx.xx |
