State Specific Question About: ILLINOIS (IL)
Our Association has to work with a Board Member with a history of mental illness. Any resources available?

Check your bylaws. Perhaps there is a way to remove them. --172.58.xx.xxx |

Mental illness comes in many forms. Some people suffer from depression and other suffer from a personality disorder.
I personally think being a Landlord now is a bit crazy --24.101.xxx.xx |

NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) is a good resource in my area.
Keep in mind that many of the most productive, most creative persons over history have been persons who by today's standards might be classed as mentally ill.

Let him run for HOA president. Apparently that's a thing now. "You know... the thing." Does he like to smell hair?
All kidding aside. Can the HOA vote him out? Has he been "declared" to have a mental illness or is this just an unqualified opinion? If so, do the bylaws have anything about an incapacitated member of the board? --108.69.xxx.xxx |
