Sitting around last night and this morning just thinking how all this happened. How did we get so many who ae gaming the system and want things to get better for the gamers. This is what i came up with.

All our lives we denied the phrase "no good deed goes unpunished". Our generous deeds over the years-- free health care free entry into the USA, welfare, food stamps, help at every turn in their lives, Greens cards, safe zones and get out of jail free cards.

Policy's allowing anyone born here to be a citizen and be covered accordingly.

That group has now outnumbered us in the city's. Of course they don't want it to end. Can you blame them? Those Dacca kids are now parents whose kids can vote - whose spouses can vote who's relatives can vote. Do we really think they will vote to deny themselves what they have "EARNED"?

So the good deeds we've done have now turned on us and are biting us. We need to come to grips with it and try to turn this around-- not just turn it or go around the corner but reverse it.

There has to be more offered by going 180 from free to self satisfaction.

In my sanctuary State of California, the illegals are starting to out number the residents in some cities such as Los Angeles.

There are so many criminals the jails are overcrowded, the power to be raised the limit so felony's are now misdemeanor. They did away with Bail Bonds because the poor illegal criminals can't afford to bail themselves out of jail and they can't prove their Drug Money was made legally.

Now when you call the police, the police won't even arrest someone who's just going to be booked on paper and then released.

It used to be 1 in 5 drivers wouldn't have a licence, or insurance or their vehicle wasn't registered. So what did the State do? Give all illegal Licenses, if they paid the fee, passed an open book test and take a 2 minute drives exam, and if they failed any of those tests, they could take them again for free...even the same day!

Guns? Not in California anymore. Half are labeled as illegal to own. The other half have to be locked away. Use a gun to protect yourself and family against a known criminal! Then you will be arrested first for using a gun long before the criminal will be arrested or tired. --47.155.xx.xxx

Sad for CA and many other states. We are running out of people who will work to pay this bill that is getting larger every day.

IT CAN'T SUSTAIN ITSELF..

its worrisome for all of us-- not just LL's. Not just CA or NY or IL resident's.

What are we going to do? I mean that. Everyone says -- vote the bad guys out-- how can we when the people voting the bad guys in-- outnumber us?

My abacus can't compute that? --99.103.xxx.xxx

myob, you are thinking in the right direction.

I determined a long time ago that I needed to brake the cycle in my family (mother, siblings and me). We lived on welfare when I was a kid and my mother has lived off of others her whole life and still does technically. My older sister did and so does my younger half sister now. I am doing my part to stop the cycle as best I can from my end.

I don't know how you stop it as a whole but I will give you a couple of examples I have done. I was talking to my favorite cousins one evening at my favorite uncles house as I was trying to teach them how they could save money. I actually wrote them a letter. My uncle said to them that he was sure that if they really needed money for something that I would help them out. Mind you, my uncle was bad at money management. I spoke up and said, "well, actually no I wouldn't because then I wouldn't be helping them but hurting them. However I would look at there situation and help them figure out how to resolve it on there own power". I got a funny look on that one. That was hard to say too.

I do not lend people money.

Another time, my wife and I were going out to eat at a restaurant and there was a man standing outside at the door and as we walked up he opened the door and then he asked if I would give him some money for him and his wife to eat on. Well, I knew a good solution to this problem as most are just looking for booze money and full of it. He told me that his wife was in the car. I said to him, "I tell you what, if you and your wife want to come in and get something to eat then I will pay for it". Then he said that his wife did not want to eat there, blah, blah, blah. I told him, "sorry, I can't help you". My wife and I went in and told the manager about it and that they needed to run him off.

All we can do, that I know of, is do our part in trying to educate others and don't give to the crooks and hopefully vote for the right people and laws.

I actually think that welfare and bankruptcy should be a thing of the past. People will never be responsible until they are made to be.

I have thought many times about my older sister ending up like my mother and living on welfare. The fact is you really can't blame them that much. If the only jobs you can get are low wage and the government will give you almost as much to not work but punish you if you do, then no, you can't blame them. The welfare system is training them to be that way.

So who is really smarter? --73.120.xx.xxx

MYOB If you ask me it is about the vote - most people who receive gov social assistance or favorable political influence will most always vote for the political party that provides that assistance / influence.

And people who apply for social assistance will lie, because no one checks on them. And for most who get on the rolls they stay on the rolls until that political party loses power.

The politicians have convinced some people that in America you are entitled to things that you have not earned. In the LLs case rent that they can Not afford. B plans to fully fund section 8.

If the DACAs and other illegals receive some kind of easy path to citizenship they will vote for the political party that provides that path.

We are very near the tipping POINT when those that receive assistance exceed those that don't. CA as noted by Robert J is already there.

Maybe the Conservative states can hold on for a little

longer.

What do we do??????????

Atlas Shrugged comes to mind.

It's uncanny how the scenario it described is coming true.

In the book, the solution was that the producers just quit and withdrew/walked away and society eventually collapsed. The producers formed their own area and only dealt among themselves.

I dread this might happen but I see it getting closer. I've been reducing my places and adjusting to my expectations. There are still some places in the world where these attitudes are not prevalent. If things get worse, I will sell off the rest or burn them to the ground (like Wyatt's torch) and leave. I can always rebuild.

Time will tell.

Change the voting laws - require ID to vote - no early voting or mail in voting. Only those who are net tax payers can vote. If you receive more from the government than you pay in taxes, you can't vote. If you are a taker, not a producer, you will always vote for those who promise to give you more. --104.237.xxx.xxx

You are casting immigrants with a broad brush here. I normally find the so-called "illegals" in my area are the hardest working. The locals - born and bred - are worthless. The 'illegals' also tend to keep their head down and out of trouble.

The overflowing prisons are a result of racist enforcement of foolish drug policies - namely, first and foremost, marijuana. An herb that is now legal in half the country - yet you have people in jail for LIFE for it. --72.84.xxx.xxx

Went to court over a traffic ticket that was not mine-sent to me by mistake, not my husband who actually got the ticket. Eye opening experience while those that could pay got the full slam and those that didn't even have a license or insurance got a slap on the wrist and time to get insurance and little or no payment for their crime. Or those with a license that should've had it taken away got to keep it. Our mayor wants us to be a sanctuary city.

I am convinced that Russia, Iran and China are paying a certain party to weaken this country. They all have huge stores of gas and oil and would like to be the sole sources to the world. So they donate to the D's and cook up this global warming scenario. Back in the 60s climatologists were saying we are entering a cool period, a mini ice age. So now it is here for the next 30 years, although the sun is full of surprises. And you have candidate B wanting to shut down energy products for solar and wind just at a time when the solar would be weaker! If B gets in somehow we will have gas and oil prices like we had in 2006 through 8 which had heating oil at $4 a gallon here! You do all know that B or O had to sign off on the purchase of the factory that made the vibration damper that H and his friends purchased under the table and sold to China right? That part could be used in an ICBM to keep sensitive machinery from shaking apart on the ride over here. This is BAD. This is not Russian Disinformation. Spread the word --71.104.xx.xxx

He who will not work will not eat.

A Biblical principle that John Smith employed among early settlers.

Taking personal responsibility for your actions, discipline and looking out for the good of others-rather than pure selfishness- are also Biblical principles.

In the 50's and 60's, some so-called "educated" people put forth great effort (& still do) to ridicule people of faith & eliminate from society the concept of absolute right and wrong.

Situational ethics allows people to justify whatever they want - with no moral foundation to guide them.

I truly believe our (formally) great society is on a steep downward trend, and very likely beyond saving.
