I have a rental with an attached screened in/glass 3-season porch that is opening up next month. The last time I was in it, I noticed the carpeting on the porch was looking pretty dingy. I was thinking of replacing with traffic master adhesive carpet tiles at $1.19 a square foot. They are rated for indoor/outdoor use. They look sort of like cheap office carpeting, but it is a porch. The subfloor is plywood. This property is a good solid “B“ and rents at the higher end of rates in my town. Does this seem like a good material to use in this application? I was also considering a waterproof laminate, but worried about getting water trapped under the flooring. Thanks --67.172.xxx.xxx

I don't know the name brand but my son has these carpet tiles in his breezeway. Not sure of the size but perhaps 18" or 24" square. I also think he told me he used commercial grade. It looks really nice for where it is....not for a living room but porch it's great. He also said it doesn't get smelly w/his kids coming and going with wet feet --72.70.xxx.xx

I say yes, the price is good, you can install easily your self and is easy to replace a tile or two if you need it. It will look fine on a porch and give a little softness the other floors don't --108.4.xxx.xxx

I found good looking 2'X2' carpet tiles at Habitat for Humanity Restore and bought them and covered the floor in the 3 season room. Inexpensive way to redo the floor that is subject to extremes of temperature. I did that in 2011 and it is still in there. --99.165.xx.xxx
