My vacant house has a dark hunter green type countertop. Laminate and it is a solid color, really no design.

It's still in very good condition and came with the house when I bought it.

I don't think the color is horrible but it is not what I would choose today if I were buying this house and remodeling since it is not a neutral.

Would you leave it alone or replace with a neutral, modern laminate countertop? --72.188.xxx.xxx

The kitchen sells the house, so if you're renovating anyways, I would change it out. They're inexpensive and relatively easy to do. --73.177.xxx.xx

Not so fast, J. We put a dark green countertop when we remodeled several years ago. The rest of the kitchen is an antique white. It seems to be the favorite room in the house. We get more compliments on that kitchen than any other unit. It is not MY highlight of the apartment, but prospects seem to love it. Because the rest of the kitchen is light (white cabinets), it stands out as a welcome accent rather than an eyesore. You may want to put an attractive valance above the windows to accent the countertop, as we did. Even a couple complimenting cookie jars with the color in it to stage and give ideas when you show it. --75.11.xx.xx
