A easy and especially quick way to apply this, and boric acid, is to sprinkle a thin line next to a baseboard, counter top, etc. Then use your leaf blower while standing several feet away to gently blow these powders where you wish.

Chalking all the cracks in baseboards and filling all holes with insulation foam around where pipes enter floors and walls is a more cost effective as bugs can not travel through. Take out the homes permanently once and for all. Pest control is where environment bugs can not live. --147.194.xxx.xx

And when you're finished with it, you might try to get rid of it with a leaf blower, because I've destroyed a vacuum cleaner trying to vacuum up the darn stuff. :P --137.118.xx.xxx

Rick,

My leaf blower would knock the wall over!

I’m with Brad, with my Redmax 8550 leaf blower I’d have to stand across the street. Good stuff though, I put ash from my wood stove and diatomaceous earth where our chickens dig for their dust baths, I also “dust” the coop out with it when I muck out the coop. --174.196.xxx.xx

Thanks for the tip. I use a plastic mustard ...thing. Like the catsup and mustard containers at the greasy hamburger joint.

Like mentioned above. When I install kitchen cabinets, each cabinet is calked in place. another trick for large gaps is to drywall tape the joints.

This must look really odd to the people removing cabinets 20 years on.

Also, Even though I live a bug free life most of the time, there was one kitchen where I installed the cabinets and the teni brought in bugs. It was difficult to get them out...I almost wonder whether I could not get my poisons in because I sealed everything.

One more thing. When building, I leave this stuff in the walls before sealing them up.

DE is the shells and spines of million year old sea creatures, diatoms. If you or a pet breathes that in it will cut your lung tissues. I would only put that in the farthest corner behind something that doesn't move. --71.104.xx.xxx

As Smokowna mentioned use squirt bottles, I had 4 girls so shampoo bottles float around like cream in coffee at my place and a simple funnel fills them up, step hard after aiming underneath or directly at wall seams. --76.188.xxx.xxx

Speaking of lung tissue, news yesterday said that people who were hospitalized for covid tend to have some Neanderthal genes in their bodies. Yikes. For a long time, scientists thought they just went extinct but it turns out they intermarried. I know some folks who have Neanderthal characteristics. One you know from tv. is Woodward, the author of the latest book about the Pres. His slow speech and large jaw are a dead giveaway too. --71.104.xx.xxx
