When the Home Depot website says "limited stock available" for a product at a store location, is that really code for "we don't have it?".
I've noticed that very often when it says this for one location near me, and then I search for other locations, it will say "limited stock" for every store in my metro area.

i dont count on what there website says,more than once the website said they had plenty of something and my guy came back and said he couldnt find it and whoever he asked for help couldnt find it either so i looked it up again and the website still said they had plenty --104.229.xxx.xxx |

I've had where it says there are 20 in stock of something...then you go to the store and it isn't where it's supposed to be...and then it turns out it's way up on a high shelf and they have to get that lift machine to bring it down. That's happened several times now to me. --72.188.xxx.xxx |

I'm a big h-depot fan when i pick up things.
I'm a huge fan of LOWES and their business card for large quantities. Lowes only charges 20.00 for business card delivery's-- not the 79.90 indicated. They also-- appear to track they building supplies better than h-depot. So if my lowes next door shows not enough-- I try the next store-- if they have it I order from them.

The number available online has a built in buffer in case of inventory error (caused by shipping from DC being wrong, receiving being wrong, or shoplifting). I believe that for most things that buffer is 1 or 2. --71.161.xxx.xxx |
