From Lynn:MA
I hear from my attorney today that the MA eviction moratorium is not likely going to be extended.
My lawyer thinks that the feds will extend this soon. I've heard different things about this, like that it will depend if the tenant can/cannot prove they have an altered income or not,....or it will just encompass all including those who just want to use the money to buy "other things"
Anyone heard more about this?

It just amazing to me that people with RE investments are "just hearing" ?
Gee's this is one reason we are so divided in curing this. We are not all working together-- inundating our Congressman and gov't leaders with letters.
I watched yesterday as the U-Haul van unloaded a truck full of signs in KY -- ready to go. Here we are (LL'S) sitting on our hands waiting????
Honestly for myself and I suppose many here we have no montages and can weather this storm. What about those with 4 or 5 mortgages where tenants aren't paying? This hurts us all in the long run. The courts closed is criminal. With todays technology and conferencing-- com'on-- these judges and court people are still getting paid and there sitting on there butts watching others lose it all-- I'm talking criminally and civilly.
The gov't has taken our homes (property) and allowed others to stay there with no compensation and no right to cure (aka courts closed). Forget the money-- it's unconstitutional. PERIOD.....
It's why we fought the Revolutionary War. --99.103.xxx.xxx |

or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.
Does anyone care????? or is just the second amendment the one to care for??? --99.103.xxx.xxx |

Our problem is that we are "independent" business men/women. In the same marketplace, we view each other as competitors - for properties, for tenants.
This basic independent streak in us makes it more difficult for us to act as the powerful group that we actually are.

maybe we need to get a sponsor group. Like the cruise lines have done. They're all independent but speak through CDIC a parent group representing them all in legislature items and law. --99.103.xxx.xxx |

The left wing socialist look at opportunity to bankrupt private rental housing where they hope many will go bankrupt then buy out rental properties for low prices. Unfortunately with the large deficient that is not going to happen. Suppose they bring in universal health care which is going to be expensive then there is going to be less for the pipe dream called affordable housing where here the non-profit apartment buildings loses around $100,000 per year along does not pay the HST 13% on goods and services. That is not affordable housing where if the large tax subsidies would be withdrawn then that non sense would come to end. Now is the time to start a class action suit where that unconstitutional non sense needs to come to a end. If everyone rolls and play dead then what is going to happen. In the province of Ontario there is provincial progressive Conservative government where tenants have the opportunity to make a payment plan or face the sheriff. Rents in some areas have dropped 10%. The extreme left wing tenancy advocates said everyone is going to get evicted which is complete non sense. Tenants were getting $2,000 Cdn. per month to cover for food and housing not anything else. Now they can apply for UI. If anyone wants a economy to recover then stop shutting down the locomotive engine that buys and services locally. Tenancy advocates do not even represent 0.01 per cent of the population. --147.194.xxx.xx |
