I have a big Victorian house that needs new windows, 33 in all. After getting quotes of 30K+ from a couple of local window installers, I got a quote from the local WindowWorld for 14K. That's windows AND wrapping, half of them on the second floor.

Normally when I get a quote that is that much lower than others, I figure I'm either getting a mediocre product or mediocre labor. Anyone have experience with them? How good are their windows, and would you recommend them?

I use them exclusively unless I am residing the house. With new siding, I can install auction windows that I get for $10-$20 each with a little altering of the R/O.

Windows, capping, and lifetime warranty, I have not been able to beat their pricing. Invite your local guy to your REIA to speak. That helps! I still get 2011 pricing from them. --70.44.xxx.xx

I can good quality windows, either vinyl or aluminum, dual glaze and fully insulated installed for $450 to $500 per window. This is block installation and not cutting into the stucco or siding. --47.155.xx.xxx

Robin,

I use them a lot. The windows are good

BUT the lifetime warranty on glass breakage does not apply to their lowest priced window (great for rentals! My recent doublepane repair was $301.)

AND

Installation/wrap varies by installer.
