What is the best way to clean allure flooring?

The floor is not bad, it is just not as clean as I would like it to be before I re-rent the house.

This is my first move out with a house that has allure.

My cleaning lady was using something like a Boomjoy. I had just destroyed my butterfly mop (a pan of lasagna collapsed all over my floor), and while my husband likes the old-fashioned rag mops, I think they just push dirt and dirty water around. So I bought a similar product. I like it. However, you do need to make sure the floor is swept well beforehand, because it definitely won't pick up the little missed pieces.

As far as cleaning products goes, I try to just clean floors with water (or vinegar/water or ammonia/water) so I don't get residue left behind.

Amazing that so many people were pushing Allure here and then others have to ask how to clean it because it is so weirdly designed. I looked at how it links together and I would say to get down on the floor on hands and knees with a fairly dry sponge and some SOS pads and see it up close. That's how I would clean vinyl tile that was very dirty and had been waxed by tenant. I would clean each tile separately depending on what was stuck to it. A razor blade would scrape off the worst and not hurt the tile. Your tenant will never do that but that is my secret for new looking floors in a rental. But I never considered Allure, bad vibes. --71.104.xx.xxx

If the grip strip, use vinegar/water to clean, then you can use the Allure refresher to give it a fresh shine. --67.43.xxx.xxx

MMIT,

Our housekeeper uses a damp Swiffer, running WITH the grain. The dampness helps trap the dust and litter.

She loves to finish it with MopNglo. Looks fantastic.

Vinegar and water, sparingly sprayed on and wiped off with a microfiber cloth is my go to. I usually do it on hands and knees to really scrub with that cloth as I wipe it up and to see what I am doing. Anything else, try a small spot before you do the whole floor. Lots of cleaners leave a residue which looks worse than a dirty floor. --108.4.xxx.xxx
