I’m trying to figure out if one of my mortgages is one that the CARES act applies to. It is the only one that was not taken out at the local bank. It originated at a mortgage company and has been transferred ( mortgage sold I guess) several times. It was never a VA or FHA loan, but it sounds like that doesn’t matter. No August rent from one tenant is this property and no communication from them. My only problem child so far, but I want to have the right answers. I realize I can’t file right now anyway because our pandering governor has halted evictions until October. However, it looks like the pandering has gone to the White House now so it could be a lot longer.

You can type the address into the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac websites and find out. --74.94.xxx.xxx |

That look up tool on the sites is for buildings with 5 or more units. My original loan paperwork ( 3 banks ago) has a few forms that have “Fannie Mae Standard Form” at the bottom, but that was several banks ago. It is a conventional loan for a 2 unit home. I can refinance it with my local bank if needed, but that is a lot of hassle if I don’t need to. My only other mortgages are with a local lender who does not sell the loans. I keep reading that conventional loans are not federally backed but follow Fannie Mae standards ( explains the forms?). --68.118.xxx.xx |
