Trying to post and getting the spam software here grabbing the post saying it will be posted if no spam ,controversial subjects, bad language ect it will be posted,..AND there is certainty none of those yet it never gets posted,

AND if you wait awhile and post the exact same thing,..it may get posted.

Is this just a problem for me? --70.158.xxx.xx

Carl, I'm not sure if this is what has occurred in your case, but one of the things that blocks posts from appearing is if someone continually changes their name when posting, but is still posting from the same computer or IP address. Our system is set up to reduce spam, pranksters and potentially problem postings as much as possible. Early on it was determined that individuals who continually use a different name when posting is a red flag to our system. To use an analogy, it's kind of like the applicant/resident who moves every three to six months.

It's definitely okay to use a fictitious name or nick name. However, to ensure your postings go through, it is best to continue to use whatever name you choose. That is also beneficial to the person posting, because many other landlords will begin to recognize a name and may recall things they have written in the past, which may lead them to offer suggestions that may better help that particular person. --70.161.xxx.xxx

Carl, the next time you have an issue with a post going through and you get an email generated from the system, send a quick note to webmaster@mrlandlord.com. That way, the webmaster can better identify and/or inform you of the specific issue involved with your posting. Your email will also allow us to double check things at our end in case something needs to be adjusted or corrected with the word filters in our system. Thanks! --70.161.xxx.xxx

Ah, that may well be it, We have 3 computers but generally use just two at the office. My dad and my other brother checks and sometimes posts from them and we have 2 and sometimes 3 others working here. We are encouraged to post a question if we have it here and sometimes just browse here.Occasionally adding a comment. At least 4 of us use the site fairly regularly. I guess we should chose a name and attach it to a posted note as all can remember it.

This site has been very helpful esp with changing times and rules. Thank you! --62.182.xx.xx

Good to know about the changing name thing.

I find that if I get the spam note, I need to sit and read my post thoroughly to see what words might be taken out of context and deemed offensive. Usually but not always I can re-write it and it goes through second or third try.

If not I just give up and figure it wasn't that important anyway LOL! --50.82.xxx.xxx
