Are you suspicious about NYC reported covid cases and number of deaths?

True numbers or false numbers?

Do they include undermined deaths as covid related to squeeze more $$$ from the pot o gold?

NY Gov asked for 40,000 ventilator RIGHT AWAY, then used only a fraction of those delivered to him FREE.

He also asked for thousand of hospital beds and a ship hospital...which are sitting empty.

With all the money being earmarked for those who claim Covid 19 is causing problems, it will be tempting to over-estimate and over-report simply to secure funds. The cookie jar is open...hands are dipping in.

Later, when it is found they didn't need half of what they were given, they will walk it all back with "We were just trying to stay ahead of the curve....Govt estimates were faulty....it's not our fault, we were preparing for a worst case scenario, blah, blah, blah...."

Meanwhile, another $2.2 Trillion gets added to the already crushing weight of debt our children and grandchildren who cannot vote today will have to deal with.

I just about choked on my food when I heard the report that other deaths at home were being assumed to have been by this virus.

What? You can't possibly prove any of that! They are just making stuff up - and scaring more people, making a bigger MESS!! It's ridiculous.

I never trust government. Especially if the democrats are in charge, but any government. I live in upstate NY, yet NYC is what people think of when you say NY state. The corruption in this state is unbelievable. Not the news lets most of it out or tries to investigate it.

If you listen carefully to the governors news conferences, you will find him taking credit for things that go well, blaming others when they don't and actually changing the rules when it best suits him.

The last update, he said how great it was that he didn't need all the ventilators, but later in the meeting, said how other states were over estimating how much stuff they needed just to get it in their control. HMM, exactly what he did.

Almost all the deaths, that could have been caused by the underlining illnesses, are being attributed to COVID if they had it. Unlike other deaths. Oh then the "masks in public do no good" now we are required to wear masks or face coverings in public... come to find out, they just didn't want people to have the N95s.

Although there is plenty they do not know about this virus, such as continued immunity, how it affects other organs, whether it rears its ugly head again at a later time. I think there is something they do know about this virus that is very different from other illnesses that they are keeping from us.

I also like how Cuomo is now saying the state is broke, we have no money because of this. Well, they overspent, gave away billions for frivolous stuff, and were in debt before this even started due to his moving money and smoke and mirrors before this. But now we have something to blame out of his control.

We live in the western part of PA, far from the epicenter but we know people around here that have died from Covid. We also know that people have died that had the symptoms and weren't counted towards the total because they weren't tested. I don't believe the numbers are over inflated, if anything I think they may be under reported.

If you don't know anyone that has died from Covid yet consider yourself lucky and I hope that remains the case.

I'm confused by the amount of supposed business people on this forum who think this is still about the virus.

This is about the left choking the life out of the economy for as long as they can!

There are a bunch of stories now of how the numbers are all inflated to boost the revenues for hospitals, states, and municipalities. The more cases they can show and the more deaths the more money.

Holy cow. I guess a lot of people on this forum are wearing tinfoil hats instead of face masks... Sheesh.

I see the government turning its citizens against one another at a faster rate than ever before. I see a full on attack on small businesses and personal liberties.

I see folks on my side of the argument growing restless and not being quiet for very much longer.

When the death rate from all causes in a particular city is 20% higher than the overall death rate the previous year, which is what has happened in a number of cities and countries around the world, health departments presume that the increase in death rate is likely caused by the current outbreak which is killing so many people in hospitals. That seems like a reasonable assumption to me. What else would cause such a sudden and large increase in deaths?

We definitely know that people are getting covid and dying from it who haven't been testing, because there is still a shortage of tests in this country. My sister, her husband, and her two adult children all got really sick with symptoms that are typical coronavirus symptoms: dry cough, high fever, loss of senses of taste and smell, etc. They couldn't get tested in Massachusetts, so we don't know for sure whether they had it, but it seems likely.

Side note: I am surprised by the number of people on this forum who are concerned about "lying government" but show no concern at all about the president's non-stop lies. What's with that?

I can't stand listening to Rush Limbaugh, personally. Also, I can say that I my vote is still out on trumps overall handling of this. I will add to that though, he sure has the left running around in circles!

The left is hanging itself out dry with all these orders. And Trump, smart enough, knows to never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake.

The virus started in CHINA, was hidden from the world for 7 days, hundreds of thousands of people were infected during their national holidays during that time. They were allowed to leave and infect the WORLD. Italy doesn't care about the orange guy. Boris Johnson didn't get sick to change an American election. Greece didn't tank its slowly recovering economy to hurt ours.

Millions didn't get sick and thousands die to elect Biden.

In statistics, the phrase "correlation does not imply causation" refers to the inability to legitimately deduce a cause-and-effect relationship between two variables solely on the basis of an observed association or correlation between them.

Weather the virus is really as bad as they claim or not, or weather the left is trying to beat down the right or not(this is election year), one thing is for certain, there is a lot of wasteful spending going on and our debt is way out of control and laws are being made(some of which will probably stay and maybe get worse)that are unconstitutional and taking away our freedoms and rights that a lot of people have fought and died for. On top of that there are a lot of people that will just sit back and watch it happen.

I assume we can agree that this is virus is killing a lot of people. Do we respond by doing nothing and letting it spread fast which will overwhelm the hospitals? Are we OK with significant percentage of being dying? (This would hurt the economy too)

Do we shut everything down including grocery stores and food supply chains?

The reports are accurate my friend is in upper management of 3 hospitals in NYC and LI. People are dying, staff is getting sick and dying, etc.

I don't understand how this is political? I can assure you the virus doesn't care. The lock down has worked, we saved probably a million Americans lives.

I'm deeply ashamed of a lot of my fellow countrymen in this crises. My Grandfathers generation was asked to fight and die overseas for years and largely did it with little complaint.

Now our government is asking us to sit on our couch's and watch Tiger King for 3-6 weeks so our medical system doesn't collapse killing a large number of our fellow citizens. That's it sit on your couch, oh and BTW package stores are still open you can get drunk to, and here's $1,200 to do it.

And some of us can't even do that...

I find it interesting that Ohio doesn’t release any information on the number of people recovering from the virus (shifty behavior & very manipulative) So I’m assuming the state government wants me to

Subtract the number of people in the hospital, ICU, and dead from the numbers who contracted the virus to figure out how many are surviving/ recovering. Full numbers tell a more complete story. Right now I’m not getting the full story so I’m taking this thing with a grain of salt. I’m going about my life as usual with More awareness and caution.

I know some who died locally. Families could not hold their hand in the hospital nor have funerals.

SOMEBODY who felt OK gave it to these folks, who are now dead.
