Is it possible to repair a metal storm door that was yanked with such force that some of the hinges were ripped off the door frame? The screws holding the hinges on simply gave way stripping the threads out of the frame. I am hoping that someone has found a solution to this problem. The single parent had very unruly children.

Hillbilly repair. Tin can and a pair of snips. Cut tin can to size, put screws in place. Fixed. If real bad, might take 2 layers of the can.
Used tin can 2 cents. Snips -probably got some. Time 15 minutes.

We got out of the storm/screen door business years ago. It's in our lease: we tell tenants if one is there, great. If it breaks, they can pay to have it repaired or we will remove it for them. That's it. --50.82.xxx.xx |

Don't know of a good repair, sorry.
We use storm doors on any door that faces west, as that's where the rain comes from and we've found it reduces wear on the door and potential leaks. Other than that, no storm doors. --99.92.xxx.xxx |

Bill tenant for damaged door and then do not put back on. Most rentals don't have them for this reason. It would cost too much time and trouble to properly repair this door and a cheep fix might not hold up and get you in trouble. --73.120.xx.xxx |
