Does anyone use water leak alarms on their properties? These would be for a basement, under a sink or under a water heater. Amazon has a couple inexpensive ones but the reviews are not good. Zircon or Govee are 2 of the manufactures.

I put them in my basements by the water heater or floor drain (for sewer backup). Cheap property insurance.
You can test them annually or whenever by applying a wet rag --144.250.xx.xx |

I use the basement watchdog one that Lowe’s sells and I’m happy with it. Gets good reviews as well. --24.147.xx.xxx |

amazon. I buy two brands, zircon and glentronics.
The tenants will often move them or put them on a shelf , especially if the drain is in the laundry area. But it's usually their property that gets damaged. I've yet to have drywall in basement that need replaced from water. --144.250.xx.xx |

While you're at it, you should place a sensor in the washer/dryer area, under sinks, behind toilets, and in the hot water drip pans too. --108.69.xxx.xxx |

I also use the Glentronics Basement Watchdog
Same as the one from Lowes. Just a little cheaper and more convenient to get from Amazon.
We mount on the water heater itself. Not easy for tenant to move. --73.152.xx.xxx |

Yes, I have the cheep type offered by Home Depot for under $20. I also the the more expensive ones that auto turn-off the water supply to the:
Dishwasher, Cloths Washer, Toilet, Ice Maker and other fixtures. --47.156.xx.xx |

I use the cheap ones from HD also, but to be honest I've never "needed" one to sound. You have to make sure to keep fresh batteries in them...these things can easily be forgotten. --99.92.xxx.xxx |
