In running this month's Rental Report, I see that after turnovers and rent hikes, we are $24.51 per month away from a significant new round number milestone. Next renewal or turnover, someone's rent is going up by a very odd amount LOL! --50.82.xxx.xx |

Hah, that's funny!
I try to make all increase based on a percentage, but round up to the nearest $5 just to keep things even.
So for example, the lease says "At each lease renewal, the rent shall increase 2.9% above the rate currently in effect rounded up to the next highest $5 increment. For example, if the 1st year's rent is $550, it would increase at the start of the 2nd year by 2.9% to $565.95, which would then round up to $570."
Easy to understand and keep track of this vs. having a rent with odd-ball pennies at the end. And gets me $4.05 more per month. ;-)
So what's your milestone? Inquiring minds want to cheer for you! --107.216.xxx.xxx |

I like the idea of base % and rounding up to nearest $5 on rent increases. Congrats WMH[NC]! --47.28.x.xxx |

6x6, I have people who pay pennies as identification when they do in-branch deposits. $1200.07, $1125.11, etc. This lets me identify that they paid.
When they pay online, they don't need these "cents identifiers."
Over the past year, more and more pay online, thus the odd number. --50.82.xxx.xx |

Well, I not only hit the $24.51 but overshot it by $33.13, so now I have a new goal LOL! New tenant just got a cat, so $25 closer to the new goal already :)
I know the amounts are small, but with such small amounts have we grown to triple what we were doing not very long ago. --50.82.xxx.xx |
