I don't see anything in any landlord law that makes people who use multiple question marks a protected class. So, as long as you put that into your written criteria, you should be good.

Blocking their calls or ignoring their inquiry could easily trigger a Fair Housing investigation.
And remember there are paid testers trying to trip you up. Indiana Fair Housing Committee is runnig an ad to hire testers. This ???? person(s) might be a tester monitoring your response and building a case against you.
"Everyone is welcome to apply" should be the standard answer.

The testers are going strong here in CLE, they don't return applications so it is hard for me to approve them or get paid - well sir the application is the very first step )but can't I just move in after giving you the money?( Uh not really )Oh that sounds like discrimination and I am recording this call(, I am glad you are recording so you can replay this as often as you like - it is discrimination against all of my previous applicants who may or may not be tenants... --76.188.xxx.xx |
