How do I remove mouse smell from cupboards? I guess the smell is probably from feces or urine. Vinegar sprayed on the wood hasn't done enough to remove the smell.

I read that Nature's Miracle might help. Would an ozone machine do anything? --107.77.xxx.xxx

Are you sure it's not just old cabinet smell?

Paint the inside? Spray with Lysol. More vinegar? --99.203.xx.xx

Try OdorXit - I bought it from the resources section on this site. --67.189.xxx.xxx

If OdorXit doesn't work, you could try sealing the wood with a shellac-based primer. Worked for me on a smoker house. --204.210.xxx.xxx

I haven’t used it (ozone generator) for mouse smell, but, it’s worth a try. My daughter used it on a car that can back smelling like ‘animal’, just was unrentable with that smell. It took several applications, but, the smell came out. --70.92.xxx.xxx

I would try the OdorXit, and natures miracle. If one doesn't work try the other. Then either shellac itself, you can buy the premixed stuff at Big Box store, if you still want to see the wood. Shellac primer if you want to seal and have a painted look. Shellac is great at sealing in stains and smells. --108.4.xxx.xx
