If it's a small business tenant, it's not that much different than renting to an individual. I'd get their personal information, check their credit and get their financials and business bank statements. If it's a large established business, the main thing is negotiating the lease terms and I'd still get the financials. In my storefront, I have a established local non profit and it took us a couple of months to get the lease negotiated. A business tenant is far easier to deal with than an individual and they stay a long time. I never hear from this tenant and they just pay rent. I wouldn't mind owning a strip mall at some point. --64.121.xxx.xxx |
