In my part of the country, that usually involves a liberal application of mulch each spring, coppicing the shrubs every few years, occasional soil drench for pests, and applications of fertilizer, along with a well-timed program of weed control spray. I was out spraying the other day and the hose sprung a leak and sprayed all over me. I got home in about 15 minutes and hope it has no effect on me. I know it can be dangerous and was very concerned about that fact. I spray at least 3 times a year, none of this stuff seems to last more than about 60-70 days and then time to respray.
