I have a tenant that constantly leave the storm door wide open, this is the srcond door that I had to replace because the wind blew it away, do I have to provide him with a storm door? Can I remove it?

Does code in the town require a storm door?

If not, I would remove it, make sure the door to the structure is solid and painted to withstand weather, and go from there. I stopped doing storm doors at my rentals after they broke them all.

Since you provided one within working condition, you can also send a bill to the tenant for damaging the storm door. After all, they failed to use reasonable care with it. --64.251.xxx.xxx

I removed mine as the tenants break them once broken I remove as the tenants some tenants do not close them and when the wind picks up they go like kites. Wish there was an easier item that did not blow off and could withstand the tenant abuse... --184.74.xx.xx
