I have a coin op GE commercial dryer. Model# DCCB330ET0AC.
When I push the start button, the machine sounds like it starts. Not sure if the drum spins. When I release the start button, the machine stops.
Any ideas?

A quick Google search suggests a broken belt or a bad broken belt sensor. But I personally don't have experience with that problem. I would want to determine for sure if the drum spins or not. --70.178.x.xx |

I’m not to where I can look up that motor, but it sounds like a seal in relay or the inertia switch on the motor. Start with the relay. --73.99.xx.xx |

I am used to working on Gas GE dryers, not electric. If you push start button and nothing really happens, it may be:
a) the door closed switch. Can be tested and jumped to see if the dryer will spin.
b) On gas models there is an electric control device attached to the motor shaft that if there's an issue or warn parts, the motor won't turn on.
c) Check to see when you spin the drum by hand if there is tension from the belt?
d) Move the timer to another setting and check to see if it will work...
These are a few ideas off the top of my head, good luck. --47.156.xx.xx |

Centrifigal switch n the motor has too much lint in the contacts -- UNPLUG -- UNPLUG -- the machine and vacuum out the motor while turning the drum so the motor turns, if you have a crevice tool it will be helpful. --76.188.xxx.xx |
