Offering an optional Housecleaning Fee to residents. $xx/mo. Outside service cleans resident's home or apt every other week. Started offering it thinking not everybody really wants to clean their own home but might be willing to pay for it to be done. Your thoughts?

I think you'd get more mileage from offering yard service. Keeps them out of the yard, keeps you from having city/neighbor complaints, and if yard always clean, neighbors are more accepting of your rental. --108.69.xxx.xxx |

Agree totally. Already offering Yard service as an option. Results are exactly what you, Landlord of the Flies, describe. Starts as optional at move-in. Becomes required if yard not maintained. Nobody complained when it transitioned to required when they were not maintaining the yard!
