Renovating another bathroom in rental. This will be the first one ( rental) with the one piece fixed shower glass. We have done before, but not in a rental. The advantage is that is is just one giant “ floor to ceiling” piece of glass- no moving parts , no tracks. Easy to clean. The shower head is one of the fixed rainfall showers that comes out of the ceiling, so no threat that they will aim it outside of the glass..We are planning on this being our game plan for all the small bathrooms. We used to only see these in the resorts in the warmer climates, but recently saw them in Canada. Thoughts?

Is this the type of shower that has an open end or side that allows access? Is so I would want a drain in the main floor as well as a small curb where you enter the shower?

What price point is this unit for? I definitely wouldn't try it with some of my lower income units. --96.237.xx.xx

Sounds like a great idea and the look would rent/ sell the place all day long. Are you removing a bath tub? --99.203.xx.xxx

No tub, was always a shower. Trying to up the price point. This is a strange property- it isn’t in the best neighborhood, but it is located close to a university, several hospitals and major highways. So iffy neighborhood but great location... if that makes any sense. It used to attract mostly students but once it got some improvements rents went up and it started to attract applicants from a higher pay scale. People will take a short commute to work over a fancy zip code. --71.10.xxx.xxx

a shower curtain would be a lot easier and cheaper to replace. --38.142.xxx.xxx

Floor to ceiling glass holds moisture in shower. If there's a gap, the glass shakes and could easily break if handled roughly. --108.69.xxx.xxx

No shower curtains, they don’t go with the marble. I want top dollar . Most of the hotels are installing them on mounts, not tracks. I wouldn’t assume that was the better way so I guess I need to do some more research- time for another vacation. --71.10.xxx.xxx

RentsDue, "I guess I need to do some more research- time for another vacation" don't you mean it's time for another research junket to an exotic location similar to what our elected officials seem to take on a regular basis. The only difference is they try to do it completely on our nickel & you're only hoping to do it with pre tax dollars. (g) --96.237.xx.xx

Brrr. Sounds drafty for your climate in the winter. I like to be totally warm and not have any draft while taking a shower. Getting a heater/fan put in to replace the fan in my bathroom. --70.16.xxx.xxx

The higher pay scale tenants you get, the lessor chance of them breaking it.. go for it!!

That could well be your selling point, woh effect.. --108.34.xxx.xx
