This is in regards to an earlier post "treasure" where I found a valuable collectable abandoned inside the attic of a bank owned foreclosure.
It sold on auction today for over $2,400. I would have liked to get the house, but this is a close second.

I agree with Ken. You took something out of a foreclosure you didn't own and sold it. --50.32.xxx.xx |

What was this item that sold for $2400?
I want to make sure I'm not throwing away anything cvaluable as trash by mistake. --98.146.xxx.xxx |

If your offer to buy the house was the one accepted, and you found this item missing after closing - how would you feel? Maybe like somebody robbed you? --68.10.xxx.x |

Most of the folks on this site are honest. Many of us are not only honest but God-fearing. Theft any way you want to cut it, is not going to get us excited for you. Just lucky you didn't get caught. --24.20.xxx.xxx |

I agree with others - this was theft. Really no different than a meth head stripping the copper out of a foreclosure and selling it. --70.178.x.xx |

Tiffany lamp? I won't condemn you. Someone else might have just put it in the garbage or on the curb. You rescued it. --173.61.xxx.xx |

I don’t think this was someone pretending to be Robert J, I believe this is just another user in CA using the user name “robert” --174.199.xx.xxx |

You're right, California is pretty small. The odds of my state housing more than one individual with such a unique name such as "robert" are pretty slim.
This property had already been cleaned out by the heirs. I was the only potential buyer that entered the property, because I refused to buy it sight unseen.
Anyone else would have thrown out my treasure with the garbage. Turns out there were only 10 of these items left in the world, so it didn't matter what kind of physical shape it was in. --77.111.xxx.xxx |
