This is more applicable to carpet than other flooring types. I'm of the opinion that W&T is only from the weight and friction of people walking on the flooring. Dirt and soil and other debris tracked in from people not taking off their outside shoes is damages.

Dirt and soil and other debris tracked in from people not taking off their outside shoes is not damage at all, but neither is it wear OR tear. It is dirt, soil and other debris and (in most if not all states) the cost of cleaning to the condition at the inception of tenancy can be deducted, if the premises were not returned in that condition. --47.139.xx.xxx |
