I'm a just starting with leasing and wondering if I have a couple who will be married two weeks after they move in on the first, so do I write the lease out in her maiden name or her future married name?

If you like, write he name as of the lease signing. In two weeks, she will be the same person and no judge will give you trouble with the fact that she is obligated under the lease.

I tell tenants to bring me copies of their DL and SS cards together with the originals, then keep the copies.

I've had major issues with putting Mr. Tom and Mrs. Lucy Jones on a lease. I have to put their current real legal names as indicated by their Credit Report.....drivers license, social security number and pay stubs from work. --47.156.xx.xx |
